Retail Services & Design was established in the early 1990’s as a consultancy embracing all things retail from property to planograms including business viability studies and store operations.
Supported by their wealth of retail experience the partners developed a strong retail arm to the business which still thrives to this day embodied in the continued operation of a convenience store in North Hampshire. Indeed one of the partners is a main board director and licensing advisor to the ACS and has just completed a term as the treasurer of that highly regarded trade body.
Over the years involvement in retail licensing has grown to such an extent that a new division of the group - Licensing Solutions - has been created to offer a fresh new approach to licensing opportunities in the retail sector by Chris Mitchener and his team.
In association with Hook & Partners of Canvey Island a full range of licensing services are available to our clients based on a menu driven list of services, from free advice over the telephone to a virtual turn key new application process where the only thing you have to sign is the cheque !...
Our central office is near Southampton in Hampshire with administrative support also available in Canvey through the offices of Hook & Partners whilst our advocacy team is spread across the country and able to deal with new applications should they go to hearings. With the local offices of our team also available for those important one to one meetings when a phone call is not sufficient a strong support service is available for any eventuality. These same advocates, licensing specialists all, are available to deal with local interviews and representation should the need arise because of difficulties with regard to under age sales or other problems with overall control and guidance invested in our central office.
Our retail licensing pedigree is second to none having worked with many independent and corporate clients over the years, while spearheading the growth of licensed forecourts with an innovative approach to applications resulting in a personal success rate of over 99% for Chris out of more than 750 forecourt applications that he has made.
With the creation of Licensing Solutions this innovative approach to retail licensing and its opportunities is set to continue with Chris acknowledged as being at the forefront of licensing application initiatives and one of the leaders in his field – and David Hook and the advocacy team are no couch potatoes either!
